Dr. Carlin is the owner of Evoke Physio and a Pittsburgh native. She earned her BS from James Madison University in 2005, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Chatham University in 2007. She has extensive training in differential diagnostic evaluation as well as current, evidenced-based advanced manual therapy techniques. She has uniquely blended her experience in fitness with her expertise in orthopedic physical therapy to provide her clients with a fitness-forward approach to orthopedic pain and problems. She has special interest in treatment of neck and back pain, as well as management of the fitness athlete. In addition to her work at Evoke Physio, she enjoys serving on the Board of Directors at Carlow University’s DPT program. Dr. Carlin is an active member and resident of the Fox Chapel Community who enjoys running, outdoor activities, coaching, and sports with her husband and 3 children.

Nate received his Bachelor’s degree in exercise science at The University of Pittsburgh in 2011, and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of St Augustine in Florida in 2015. Prior to coming to Evoke, Nate spent 9 years working at Howard Head Sports Medicine in Vail where he treated many types of athletes including NFL, NHL, and PLL players. Nate has served as the Head of Physical Therapy for the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) since 2023. In his free time, Nate enjoys running, strength training, all the Pittsburgh sports, and spending time with his wife, Olivia, and daughter Evelyn.

Tyra is a graduate of Duquesne University, earning dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Health Sciences in 2019 before completing her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2021. She pursued advanced post-doctoral training through Evidence In Motion, becoming a certified Pelvic Health Specialist with advanced clinical competency in pelvic floor rehabilitation. She is trained in both internal and external pelvic floor examination and treatment, alongside comprehensive orthopedic assessment and management of the full musculoskeletal system. Tyra has experience working with individuals of all genders and ages, addressing a wide range of pelvic floor dysfunction including bladder, bowel, and sexual health concerns. Her approach is whole-body and evidence-based, considering pelvic health within the context of the entire person and emphasizing the transition from rehabilitation to performance and everyday function. She is also a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, with advanced training in perinatal exercise modification, postpartum recovery, and support of the abdominal wall, pelvic floor, and lumbopelvic system. Tyra lives in the South Hills of Pittsburgh with her husband, Ryan, and their dog, Maggie. She enjoys being outside, supporting local coffee
shops, running, reading, playing pickleball, and watching movies.
